Tropical Storm Henri slams into New England

Tropical Storm Henri slams into New England, bringing heavy rain and powerful winds. At one point, more than 100,000 homes were out of power.

The storm made landfall in Rhode Island Sunday morning. The storm quickly weakened into a tropical depression. More than 49-million people in New England were under a flood watch because it is slow-moving.

The storm surge and strong winds led to flooded streets and knocked down trees.

While Henri was not at hurricane strength when it made landfall, it still packs plenty of punch, putting properties at risk of damage.
