It is expected to develop into a Tropical Storm later this morning.
At this point the storm is expected to dump heavy rain as it moves through the islands, and weather forecasters say it should weaken some. There is concern that it could reach the Gulf of Mexico by Sunday which could give the system the opportunity to strengthen.
