Tropical Depression Grace track remains uncertain, Texas on alert

Tropical Depression Grace could impact Texas later this week. The storm's track remains uncertain, but anyone in Texas should pay close attention to any developments.

Monday morning, the National Hurricane Center reported maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour. The storm is passing just south of Haiti. Storm conditions will be felt in Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic before it moves into the Gulf of Mexico.

Long-range forecast models have the storm moving east towards Mexico or the coast of Texas. It is too soon to know exactly where the storm will go, or if it will strengthen so anyone in the Gulf region should pay close attention.

The past several days have been extremely busy in the Atlantic basin, with three storm systems active currently. Tropical Storm Fred is closing in on Texas, and Tropical Depression Eight is churning closer to Bermuda.
