Weather experts say the next few weeks are going to "take a turn for the worse" when it comes to hurricane activity. Our team of public adjusters at Sill are monitoring the situation, and we are ready to help anyone who finds themselves dealing with a property damage insurance claim.
According to a recent article published by Forbes.com, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA, has increased their original forecast for expected storms in 2021.
Back in May weather experts said we could expect 13-20 named storms, and 6-10 hurricanes. Now they're calling for 15-21 named storms and 7-10 hurricanes. That means the next few weeks could get extremely busy.

Right now NOAA is tracking two tropical disturbances in the Atlantic Ocean that have some chance of developing into a more organized storm system. Anyone living in an area that may be of risk will want to monitor the situation.
In July Hurricane Elsa, the first named hurricane of the 2021 season, caused $290 million in damage according to Karen Clark & Company.
